Go Steelers!

Last Sunday we had a big cook out with our Bible study group to kick off the first meeting since the summer. We had about 30 people here for burgers and goodies. Next week we will be starting a Bible study on John 3:16. There are more kids than parents in this group! The guys in the group have been wanting to try Chris' sling shot to see how far they could sling some fruit so all I can say is boys will be boys!
Last Saturday was the opening ceremonies for sports as well as "Kid's Day" on base. After the ceremonies the kids got to play on bouncy castles, etc.
Tiff's team is the Steeler's this year. She was thrilled to find out that her team is named after
her favorite NFL team. She did well at her first and second games, she plays a lot and has gotten some flags and good catches in this year. She even scored an extra point for the team today by catching the football after their touchdown. Thank goodness we also have had nice weather for the season so far. She practices twice a week in the evenings and has one or two games a week.

The coach had her and another player go out as captains today. She is really one of the top players on her team this year, fun to watch.
Last night we went to a play and saw the "Seussification of Romeo and Juliet", a take off of Romeo and Juliet using all rhyming and Dr. Seuss type story telling. The kids enjoyed it, they are posing with one of the actors and getting autographs below.

Before the play we had pizza at the place on base, the kids love the games there.
The look you get when you tell Colby to stop playing with Mama's camera.

Another one....maybe he needs more practice.
Dancing a jig, he and Tiff like to dance in her room to Spanish children's songs that Tiff got when we were in Spain over spring break.

Lucky day, we got boxes from Granny B. and Grandma Ellen and Cookie! We got clothes for the kids, goodies to eat, toys, etc!
