We took a bus from Germany to Italy, it was not bad at all. We stayed in a hotel in Como, Italy on the way down. The kids did remarkably well.
We could not find the TV in our hotel room, I finally just hit the power button and it came on through the glass. Pretty cool.
We arrived at the ship around noon on Saturday.
Just a little Italian shop that reminded me of Sicily.
From our balcony. The kids had a hard time understanding we were on a ship. They kept asking when we were going to get on the boat (like the ones they saw outside). They figured it out eventually. The ship was amazing, enormous. There were several pools (in and out) and about seven jacuzzis onboard along with a gym, spa, beauty salon, bowling, casino, multiple restaurants, bars, kids clubs, discos, etc. The ship was all decorated for Christmas, trees and lights everywhere and Christmas music in the air. I would highly recommend a Christmas cruise!
I told the kids to get ready for our tour of the big ship, Laney said she was stretching out to get ready for her exercise.
I am pretty sure Laney ate pizza every day.
Matt tried the Formula 1 simulator on the ship, pretty funny to watch.
His face on the big screen.
Laney's hair was driving me nuts, been meaning to get her and Tiff's hair trimmed....so Laney got hers done on the ship. The salon ladies loved her....as did all the workers on the ship.
Most on the ship were German and Italian. We got seated with some other Americans from Ramstein and they were a lot of fun. Here is their daughter, Lauren, who the kids loved and wanted to sit by every night!
Marseille, France. Checking out the local fish market. The kids loved it.
You see Laney's pacifier here, she did not give it up to Santa....and was sick so we did not make her. HOWEVER, she LOST it in Palermo and we have not seen it since!! She was (and is) not happy about is but she knew she dropped it somewhere and seems to accept that.
Laney fell asleep in the stroller when we were walking so Colby and I rode the Ferris Wheel while she slept. He was so excited, just giddy.
On the bus.
Pillow surfing.
