Colby's big day, he wanted chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast and helped me cook them with the assistance of Laney, out superviser. Okay, I understand the mess in my kitchen. I swear, you can't keep this place clean these days!
I told him that 5 year olds are able to flip pancakes and he was thrilled to have that job.
The neighbor kids (the German/American ones) have had Colby's present hidden away in their garage for a couple of days. They were here first thing in the morning with Colby's gift. It was a pedal-less bike, that is what the Germans give their kids instead of training wheels. Hans, our German neighbor, has been telling us to get one for months. This type of bike teaches the kids a sense of balance and then they are able to ride regular bikes within two weeks. Colby was on it all morning.
Laney loves to sit in the kitchen window and bark orders to the others kids out of the window.
Kayla, neighbor and Tiff's close friend. She has three brothers and her mom is Dutch and dad American. We are lucky to have awesome neighbors!
I could not be happier with our new house. We live on a cul-de-sac and have a bunch of kids in the neighborhood. The kids are outside all day long playing.
We reserved a party place at the base pool for Colby's b-day. We had the three VonEicken kids, Kayla, Josh and Samuel at the party. It was a good time and Colby enjoyed his first real birthday party.
Tiff and Josh.
Colby loves Tiff more than anyone! Only if she would give him the time of day, she does on occasion!
We had a Cars theme, loved the cake! I did not make it :)
