Pull up a chair, a lot of pictures here. I won't comment on them all, pretty self explanatory. We rented a lake house on Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia and we fell in love with the place. Mimi and Pops came up to stay with us a couple of days and then Grandma Ellen came for a couple. It was very relaxing, fishing, boating, napping, eating. The kids loved the water and all that went with it. We rented a boat for the week too. The property had a dock just a few feet from the back door.
The back side view of the house.
Oh my, the thrill of the drive!
So, some very rich people live up there!
We got to this state park by boat, it was very nice find, lots of fun for the kids.
Watching the thunderstorm with Pops.
Pink cheeks in spite of my sunscreen obsession.
Baby girl took to napping on the boat.
Feeding the mammoth sized fish at the marina.
Laney is Little Miss. "I can do it myself!!" Here is her sunscreen attempt.
Delivering Papa a fruity drink with extra whipped cream while he slaves away at the grill!
Not sure how I get suckered in to things like this....pink life vest was complements of the house...I can hear Jean and Jill screaming now.
We fished a lot............here is the ONE fish caught.
Feeding the fish, a daily chore, trying to bribe them in.
Putt-putt with Grandma Ellen.
So, the neighbor pulled in on this the night before we left....nice.
