Uncle Bob got a "Bad Boy" tractor and let Colby drive it. Colby thought he was such a big boy!
Mackenzie is quite the athlete. This past year she played volleyball, basketball and track. In high school she plans to play soccer, basketball and run cross country. Since we have been here she has been getting up at 6:00 to run with the cross country team. It is unofficial practice, as they are not allowed to train officially until August, at which time they will run at 6:00 in the morning and then again at 7:00 PM at night. Her high school has won the state championship for the last 12 of 15 years and I see why! Last year in track her best time for two miles was 13 minutes and 33 seconds! Whew! We got to see her play with her summer softball league this week.
My Uncle Dave and Aunt Arlene came down from Iowa to visit for two days. We took a trip to the local marble factory to see how marbles were made and to check out their cool toy store. It was a neat trip and Granny B. bought all the kids some marbles.
We visited the town of Lawrence, home of KU. Here are the cousins.
Arlene, Dave, Colby and Granny B.
Lisa and them live less then a 5 minute walk from the town pool. Wednesdays are free for the town so we walked down to check it out. The kids had a blast.
