About 30 minutes from Spa, we were able to visit this WWII American cemetery. There are nearly 8,000 U.S. troops buried here. It was moving to walk the grounds and important for us to show respect to those who have given their all for us to be free. Finding this cemetery on a bumpy little Belgian road in the middle of nowhere was really something special. It was also heartwarming to see many people there (who were not American) visiting the graves and putting flowers on many of them. We saw only one other American family there.
