Happy Thanksgiving!

We started decorating for Christmas tonight, Laney attempted to help. We put on Christmas movies and songs, lit a fire and got the family tradition under way!
Laney helping mama with her OCD issues.
Tiff and Colby wore their Santa hats for the evening and during dinner.
We spent the weekend with the Briggs family in from England and the Hall's. The restaurant could not seat us together so the boys sat across the aisle from the ladies.
As soon as Colby saw that the boys had chips, he picked up his booster seat and moved himself.
Dancing with Bella at Auntie Jill's house. Colby's partner is Bambi and Bella's is her big pink bear "Cookie Monster." Bella and Colby went to their first ever movie on Friday, Tangled (Rapunzel) at the local German movie theater. They did well and Colby was in a trance.
The movie was 3-D, I did not think Colby would keep these glasses on but he did, the whole time! He was so cute, cracked me up.
So excited, I think the promise of popcorn AND candy sent them in to orbit.
Resting our full tummies after our Thanksgiving feast.
One of the many things I am thankful for....
And another...
We had the Meyers, Hall, Briggs, Beck and J&S families over, 10 adults and 6 kids! I am sure am glad Jill stepped up to the plate and had us at her house :)
Bella, Molly & Laney Grace

Playing with beautiful Bella, she is one smart cookie.
We woke up to a light snow on Thanksgiving morning. Of course, Tiff and Colby were outside first thing. We told Laney that she would be out there next year. She watched them outside playing for a long time, totally entertained.

These are posted in backwards order. Here you see us cooking for the big turkey day. My boy loves to help cook! We made pumpkin cheesecake, a three layer chocolate-peanut butter cake with buttercream frosting and a chicken/pineapple bacon appetizer.
So, a couple of nights ago Matt and the kids declared that there were no desserts in the house (a total sin if you ask one of us). They decided to make carrot cake cupcakes, here Tiffany surprised Dad and Colby with candles in their cupcakes, we sang "happy Thanksgiving to you, happy Thanskgiving to you..." even though it was several days before Thanksgiving. Colby insisted on a candle in every cupcake he had after that first one!

Love the look, tights, snow boots...flower behind Dad's ear (that Colby picked for him on our walk, he picked one for everyone in the family, himself included.)
