We are in Burkeville, Virginia now and are staying with Grandma Ellen and Cookie. We saw fireworks at a local town on Saturday. I was worried that Colby and Laney would freak out with the noise but they did not get scared at all. On Sunday we decked the kids out in their red, white and blue and celebrated with a family dinner, golf and frisbee! Here is Carsten teaching Colby a few things about golf.

Getting ready for fireworks. When I was explaining to Colby that we were going to see fireworks he kept saying, "Mama, I scared!" I told him that Papa or I would hold him if he got scared but he didn't. I told him that Papa might hold me if I got scared too because he was my boyfriend and Colby replied, "No, Papa MY boyfriend!!" ha ha.
We were at the Farmville Airport, right on the end of the flight line for the show.
