A slip-n-slide, science project, pirate and carrots...

As you can see, we FINALLY got some warm weather. I put my flannel sheets away at the end of May and just packed my sweaters away this weekend. Being in Germany, I still have all my long sleeve shirts ready to be worn but figured the jackets and sweaters could have a rest. Just about any warm day I come home to Tiff and Colby begging me to let them put the sprinkler under the trampoline. When Colby asks it sounds like, "Wee (what he calls the trampoline) wa-wa, MaMa, pleeeeeze." Hard to say no to that! Tiff bought this slip and slide with her allowance and some help from mom and dad.
Tiff has a science fair project due tomorrow, she figured out which type of chocolate melts faster (white, semi-sweet or milk). I wonder if your guess if right.....the answer is white. Of course, Colby had to have his hands in the action. Matt helped her with this one, they did a good job :)

More on the slide.

Last Saturday, Matt and I went to a going away party for friends moving to Okinawa. Birgit came over to watch the kids. Before I knew it, Colby was out in the back yard, down to his birthday suit, ready to show Birgit (and the golfers) what the slide was all about.
Tiff was invited to a mystery birthday party. Emma, a daughter of our friends in our Bible study group had an awesome birthday theme. Tiff had the role of a pirate and had to come in character. She had a lot of fun and we pulled the outfit together from odds and ends from my friends at work. Teachers have all sorts of things!!

Laney Grace got her first taste of real food today. She had carrots and seemed to like them! Colby's first food was carrots too so we did not want to break tradition.
