Garmisch for Labor Day

We drove down to Garmisch for what has become our annual Labor Day trip for three years running. We stayed at the Eidelweiss Lodge and Resort, a military retreat situated in the foothills of the Alps. (www.edelweisslodgeandresort.com/home.html ) Matt plays in a DODDS golf tournament down there every year and we will probably be doing it for years to come. Here is Colby, super excited about the Aplspitzbahn (the lift) that the kids and I took one day, way, way up the the Alps to 2050 meters. Here is the view as we went up the lift, our hotel was way down where you can see little houses. Okay, this is where we expose our failure as parents of an almost two year old...Colby is a not-so-fabulous diner at restaurants and we will do almost anything to keep him from getting us thrown out, hence, eating the sucker the waiter gave him while eating his spaghetti.....oh, when did we lose control??
Someone is in hog heaven.
Tiff loved watching this guy play and yodel.
Matt help with the organization of the tournament, his team came in first place and he won an award for hitting the longest drive for the men. There were 64 players.

Sissy and Colby

Mama and Colby on top of the mountain. It was COLD up there, we had pretzels and hot chocolate.

Colby got a little spooked on the ride down, but just for a minute.

Sweet babes.

This is what happens when you give an independent little man his own pudding cup and spoon, he's so proud.
